Ancient Kashmiri magic teaches us to turn green tea into hot pink. Exactly, Roerich drank it while traveling along the Himalayan trails. Otherwise, why would such pink landscapes?
Pink, it’s Kashmiri tea is quite simple to prepare. But now, like many teas from those parts, you need to boil it for a long time, boil it, which turns it into a special drink that bears little resemblance to tea.

Pour 1 liter of water into the pan and here we send all the components except milk and sugar. They are so far – to the side. Their finest hour will come later. We put the pan on a strong fire and wait: it should boil. And now, when everything is seething, slightly reduce the fire, cover with a lid and leave to gurgle for half an hour. Correctly select the intensity of the fire – otherwise it will boil everything clean. After half an hour, pour another 350 ml of cold water here. close the lid, leave it alone and on fire – for 5 minutes.
When they passed – we take up milk. There she is, magic! Milk needs to be poured into the mixture and at this very moment the tea and turn from brown to pink. It looks incredible. At first, the color has a slightly dirty tint, but it will become gradually fresher and more intense.
Now the business, consider it, is finished. There is nothing left. Add sugar. You can a little more, or a little less than indicated – try – whether it suits you to your taste. Leave the tea on fire until it boils. Now – reduce the heat and leave it for another 10 minutes on the stove.
After all these tests, patience and long preparation of tea seems completely unusual. Invigorates, gives a feeling of warmth and complete peace. Only the view from the mountain peak is not enough.
