Galeta with nectarines

This recipe makes two small galettes. They can be prepared in advance and frozen, then time to cook will take even less.

In the filling you can take any fruit and berries. Nectarines and plums give a nice acidity.

Cake is perfect for green tea!

For the dough:
Flour
150 g
Salt
0,25 tsp.
Cold butter
100 g
Water ice
40 ml
Filling:
Nectarines (apricots or plums)
400 g
Sugar
40 g
Corn starch
15 g
Additionally:
The yolk of the egg
1 PC.
Milk or cream
1 tbsp
Sugar
2+2 tsp.

Manual

Flour mixed with salt. Cold butter chopped into cubes and mix with flour. Hands indentation of the butter in the flour, getting crumbs.

Add cold water and quickly form a ball of dough, long mix.

Divide the dough into 2 discs, wrap with film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Wash the nectarines, remove the pits and cut into slices 1 cm thick.

Slices of nectarines mixed with starch and sugar.

Remove from refrigerator first disc of dough. On a lightly floured surface roll it into a circle with a diameter of 20-25 cm and Put a fan nectarines on the circle of dough, leaving 2.5-3 cm at the edges.

Edge gently bend the top of the filling. Repeat the same steps until the second part of the test. Send both galettes in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200 C. Mix the egg yolk with milk and brush to grease the edges of the dough. The filling sprinkle 2 tsp of sugar

Bake for 40-45 minutes until a beautiful Golden color. Allow to cool on the baking sheet and serve.

The result

Galeta is a symbol of summer! This is the easiest cake based dough and lots of toppings from seasonal fruit and berries. Perfect for a light summer tea party with friends. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and biscuit will be a truly refreshing dessert. One piece will not do!)
