11 Easter Egg Ideas | Culinary Blog DOMOS

Easter is on the way! How to dye eggs? We went in search of new ideas.
We are for everything natural.
Therefore, first of all, we study how to achieve bright colors using natural dyes.

  • Golden brown color gives everyone a well-known way of coloring onion husks. The more husks put in a saucepan with boiling eggs – the more intense the color.

  • Blue color It will turn out if you cook eggs in a decoction of red cabbage. The broth is done like this: cabbage boils for 30 minutes. The water left after cooking is our dye. You need to extract the cabbage, and add a large pinch of salt and vinegar to the broth – about 4 tablespoons. Cook eggs in this solution. If you want to get an intense color – after cooking, leave the eggs in the solution for several hours.

  • Color from pink to burgundy eggs will be acquired if they are already boiled and put in freshly squeezed beet juice. The longer you keep the egg in the juice, the richer the color.

  • Yellow gives turmeric solution (add 0.5 tbsp. turmeric to 0.5 l of water). Leave the eggs to lie for several hours in it; they will acquire an optimistic, chicken color.

After you decide what to paint the eggs with, the next question is how to paint them.
Threads, rubber bands
A classic of the genre is dyeing using threads and yarn. Before dipping the eggs in the coloring solution, we wrap them crosswise with several layers of thread. At the place where the threads were, there will be light streaks. The same result can be achieved by wrapping eggs with household rubber bands.

Dill, parsley, and any other herbs
Thread to the eggs, before painting, any leaves and greens. Another good way to fix them is not with threads, but by putting a nylon stocking on the egg. At the exit, we get colored eggs with grass patterns.

In a literal sense, lace Easter eggs will turn out if, before throwing them into the dye, wrap them tightly with lace. To succeed in this method of coloring, the color solution should not be very intense, then it will not paint over the lace layer and the openwork pattern will appear on the shell.

If you wet a wet egg in rice or buckwheat and wrap it in a stocking, then after cooking you will get speckled eggs.

If you wrap the eggs in a flap of natural silk with a pattern before cooking, the pattern should be completely transferred to the egg. Add vinegar when cooking – this will fix the color on the egg.

Decorative eggs

If you need eggs to decorate the table, such that you will not eat then, you can not help but spare and paint anything. For example, cover with glue and roll in a colored confectionery sprinkle or various cereals – peas, small pasta, beans and rice.

One of the most radical ways that we have encountered allows us to make the brightest colorful eggs. In a plastic glass with water you need to drip with different varnishes – no matter how much you feel sorry for, and what colors you want. Shuffle the colors with a toothpick and carefully dip the eggs into this composition. Here’s what it would look like:

Fingers, however, will also be varnished, so make a bottle of acetone. Dry such eggs carefully, with a minimal touch to the surface.
