Salmon skewers, step by step recipe with photo

Salmon skewers can be a great alternative to regular meat. Firstly, it is lighter than that made from pork or lamb. Secondly, fish kebab is much more useful. And finally, in the third, it turns out to be very tender and tasty. True, there is one thing: salmon is a rather expensive fish. Well, you can well use more budget options, for example, pink salmon or chum salmon. In this case, the kebab will turn out less greasy. Is it plus or minus? Only you decide! And when it will be possible to try the kebab from salmon – do it, at least in order to compare the sensations.

Salmon BBQ


  • salmon fillet – 500 g
  • red bell pepper – 1/2 pcs.
  • green bell pepper – 1/2 pcs.
  • yellow bell pepper – 1/2 pcs.
  • orange bell pepper – 1/2 pcs.
  • large red onion – 1/2 pc.
  • lemon – 1 pc.
  • olive oil – 2 tbsp. l
  • salt, freshly ground black pepper – to taste


Step 1

Prepare salmon kebab ingredients. Wash and dry the fish fillet with paper towels. Cut into large cubes and put in a large bowl.

Step 2

Wash and dry the sweet pepper pods for salmon kebab. Remove seeds and septa. Cut the flesh into large squares (orient yourself on the side of the fish cubes).

Step 3

Peel half the red onion. Disassemble on the scales. Each cut into squares or just large slices. Orientation, again, is possible with fish fillet cubes.

Step 4

Salted salmon fillet for barbecue and pepper to taste. Wash the lemon and cut in half. Squeeze the juice from half and mix it with a couple of tablespoons of water. Pour the fish and leave for 20 minutes at room temperature.

Step 5

Dry the salmon fillet for barbecue with paper towels. Then string on skewers, alternating with sweet pepper and red onion. Brush with olive oil.

Step 6

Place skewers with salmon and vegetables on the grill. Fry the skewers over hot coals until cooked, first on one side, then on the other side. Serve with sliced ​​remaining lemon on the table.

Helpful advice

Marinade for salmon skewers should be delicate. Instead of the diluted lemon juice recommended by us, a mixture of soy sauce with lime juice (2: 1) with the addition of any chopped herbs is also perfect.

Salmon skewers can be supplemented with any other vegetables to taste (for example, zucchini), as well as medium-sized fresh champignons, which should be strung whole on skewers.
