So here’s the secret: before sending the cabbage to the salad, salt it well, it will become softer and more tender. Here’s how we do it: put chopped cabbage in a colander, sprinkle with a generous handful of salt, and then carefully remember the cabbage with your hands, then let it stand for 10 minutes.
Now rinse the salt with cold water and let it drain.
The salad is tasty in itself, but it can certainly be served as a side dish. If you want to to make the salad more nutritious, add chopped chicken. Like cabbage, it must be tender and juicy. there is also a secret. Cook the chicken for 15 minutes after boiling, then turn off the heat and cover the pan with a lid. Let stand for another 15 minutes. The chicken turns out perfectly cooked, juicy. Now it can be cut and added to the salad.
If you a vegetarian and a chicken option are not suitable for you; instead, you can add tofu – pickled or baked.
This is not a spicy salad, but that does not mean that a little spiciness is not welcome. If pepper to your liking, add chopped jalapenos or a little chili sauce.
