Lightly salted cucumbers are always cooked not so long, but there is a way to reduce the cooking time to several hours.
This method is called “dry ambassador.” The brine does not appear in it. But the plastic bag appears, which becomes the main culinary tool.
The dry ambassador is ready-made cucumbers in 5 hours. Or even in 4 hours. That is literally – they salted it in the morning and served it for dinner. The most impatient can double the salt dose and get cucumbers even in 2 hours. But we still recommend the basic dosage, because cucumbers are better salted and more tender.

Fast salted cucumbers

  • Cucumbers – 1 kg
  • Garlic – 5 cloves
  • Salt – 1 tbsp
  • Dill – 1 umbrella
  • Currant leaves – 2 pcs.
  • Horseradish leaves – 1 pc.
  • 2 plastic bags

First of all, we want to draw your attention to the fact that cucumbers should be young, not large. Large cucumbers quickly salted difficult. So choose small and young copies.


First of all, after you washed the cucumbers, you need to cut off both ends. Done? Now take on the garlic. Lobules need to be shredded, but not very finely. Each part is two to three. Do you think there is still a lot to do? No, really. Now salt the cucumbers.


Stir and with dill (which, for greater aroma, you can chop finely), send the currants and horseradish in a plastic bag. We tie it. On top is another bag and we tie it again. Two packages can be limited, but if you have plenty of them, you can impose another 2 layers.
The essence of this irrepressible packaging is to create a greenhouse effect. Your cucumbers should get hot. They should sweat in packages from the heart, as in a Russian bath.

In this beautiful view, we leave the cucumbers in some warm place. Here on the windowsill on the sunny side, for example, is very suitable. So they should lie all the time. After that, you can serve cucumbers to the table.


If everything that is cooked does not eat at one time, cucumbers should be taken out of the packages, transferred to a jar and stored in the refrigerator. They can not be stored further in any warm place, because in this case, they will continue to salt out.
